Chicken Marsala Pasta
My friend, T's recipe featuring portobella mushrooms, sundried tomatoes and lots of heavy cream. It's super hearty and perfectly appropriate for a cozy night in on a cold winter day. If anyone wants the recipe, leave me your email address!
While walking on the icy sidewalk yesterday, I fell while holding A for the 2nd time. We were both okay but there was a serious casualty: my favorite Joe's ponte pants (shown here)! I've really had it with this freezing weather. I've been feeling uninspired to dress up with all the ice and snow piled up outside and all I seem to look forward to is food. Sadly, this has led to my annual winter weight gain.
Does anyone else gain weight around this time each year? Any tips for staying active and inspired despite this horrible weather?

I'm the same way, it's been so freakin cold lately all I have wanted to wear is jeans a sweatshirts.

i'm also feeling quite lazy.. my gym runs have been reduced from 5x a week to 2x. and my gym is literally across the street from me. sigh!
the best way i stay motivated is when i get those VS catalogs in the mail and realize: bikini season is *only* a few months away!

Gaining weight is par for the course at winter (or so I tell myself). Comcast has a lot of exercise shows On Demand. I've been doing one of Jillian Michaels work out and although I cannot walk today it will be worth it in the end.

As for the winter weight gain, I totally understand how you feel. I have been wearing black tights since all of my pants are {a tad} too tight around the thighs and waist! Dancing to my favorite YouTube songs have helped.

also - i do love that j.crew vest. it fits like a glove. tried it on thinking it wouldn't and decided to take the plunge. did the same thing w/a military jacket from there almost 3 years ago before anyone was really wearing them and i've had so many people ask about that jacket.
just imagine that vest with a ruffly dress beneath? DONE!
