I love when I hold on to something long enough that it becomes trendy again. Animal prints are definitely something that continues to come back in style every few years or so. Stick to classic, flattering pieces and you will wear them for years to come.

On the flip side, I hate when I hold on to something and it comes back in style but doesn't look quite the same. For example, I had 2 pairs of Joie cargo pants circa 2002.  I held on to them all these years only to have my bootcut cargo's look ancient next to their hip, skinny counterparts. I should've just donated them all those years ago!

What's something you held on to that you regret?

Oh no worries, bootcut will be in fashion again soon. Give it a few years ;)

I like the leopard print on you. I can't pull off leopard but I love seeing them on everyone. Great look!

Oh, I hang on to far too many things. Mostly I feel bad about getting rid of things that I haven't worn often and I always say I will wear them because they are nice or I spent too much on them yet I end up wearing the same t-shirts and jeans combos over and over. I always tell myself I really need to start dressing nicer again.

High waisted jeans - back or not? They don't look good now and they didn't look good then. And your kid is crazy cute. x

Cee and Anna Jane: Actually, bootcuts and bell bottoms are coming back this fall/winter but...not bootcut cargos! Or will they? I hope so!

L.A. Stylist Mom: I actually love a high waisted anything pretty much but I can never find a pair that look good on me. :(

this is such a cute top! i never got into the leopard print phase since it's a little too flashy for my style, but this top looks really good dressed down like this!

I have held on to my fatigues and dress blues from when I was a cadet and I wish I had thrown them out of my valuable closet real estate a few years ago. I'll be selling them on eBay ASAP.

What's something I've held onto that I regret?

Guilt. :)

I love that leopard top! You and your daughter are just so beautiful together. She's adorable!

Sandy a la Mode (October 14, 2010 at 10:31 AM)

i've recently just gotten into leopard print and i just have a pair of flats, but i love them! can't believe i didn't jump on this trend earlier!!

Roxy Te (October 14, 2010 at 12:05 PM)

I live in tight quarters so I don't tend to hold on to anything for too long! Plus my attention span is miniscule so I'm usually over something if I've worn it a couple times. Bad for the hubs haha!

Justine (October 14, 2010 at 12:58 PM)

Everything will come back in style, maybe not for you, but for your daughter.

Just Better Together

Hmm, I've gotten rid of things and regretted them. I have a tendency to clear out my closet rather quickly!

Aracely @ Mama Fashion Files (October 14, 2010 at 1:22 PM)

I just cleaned out my closet because I normally keep everything! I now try to buy more classic pieces and mix with trendy so I don't have to get rid of everything. Love the top!

Christy (October 15, 2010 at 8:33 PM)

I really like your shirt. Leopard print always seems to come back into style.

simplychic (October 16, 2010 at 6:18 PM)

you guys are so adorable.

i'm so happy leopard print came back in style too, and so quickly! i held on to some pointy toe pumps and although i see people wearing pointy cl's from time to time, i just don't think i'm ready to whip my pointy toes out just yet.
